Overton County Schools is adding an extra layer of security to protect your child’s information. Beginning this spring, all FinalForms accounts will use multi factor authentication (MFA). This means that after entering your password, you’ll also enter a quick verification code sent to your email or phone. It’s a simple step that helps keep student data safe. The 2026–2027 FinalForms platform will open on April 15, 2026. Families can begin updating student information, completing annual forms, and signing required documents at that time. Most information will automatically carry over from last year, so the process should be quick and easy. We appreciate your partnership in keeping our schools and student information secure as we prepare for the upcoming school year.

Transfer students entering the Overton County School System and will be attending Livingston Academy are invited to their new student registration day on July 14. Attendees are asked to bring birth certificates, social security cards, proof of residency, proof of physical examinations, shot records on a Tennessee state form, legal paperwork, and academic transcripts. Again, this is for new students to Overton County Schools who are attending Livingston Academy in the 26-27 school year.

Rickman Elementary will be back to in-person instruction and on a normal schedule for tomorrow April 2, 2026.

Rickman Elementary Will be dismissing at 11 AM Today due to a transformer being cut during construction of the addition to the school.. We are unsure at this time how long it will take to resolve this issue, therefore we are planning to have a virtual day for Rickman elementary only on April 1, 2026.

Due to inclement weather, after-school will be canceled today March 11, 2026

As students return to school after recent illnesses and days at home, we kindly ask that you take a moment to wash jackets, backpacks, lunchboxes, and any other frequently used clothing or personal items. These items can harbor germs even after a child is feeling better, and a quick wash can help prevent the spread of sickness to others.

Due to a significant increase in student and staff illnesses across the district, our schools will be doing virtual learning for the remainder of the week, Wednesday, March 4 through Friday, March 6. Teachers will be available by email if your child has questions or needs help with their virtual materials.

If your child’s bus could not run by your home this morning, Monday, February 23, 2026, because of road conditions, please call the school to notify them. Any absence or tardy will be excused. Thank you for your understanding

Overton County Schools will continue with the drive through virtual plan tomorrow, Monday, February 9, 2026, due to North Overton still being under the boil notice. We feel confident that we will be able to return to normal on Tuesday.

Due to a countywide water emergency and a current boil water mandate, Overton County Schools will be closed on Thursday, February 5 and Friday, February 6.
At this time, portions of Overton County are already without water, and officials have indicated that other areas may lose water as well while crews work to locate and repair leaks in the system. Because schools cannot safely operate without reliable access to potable water for drinking, food preparation, restrooms, and sanitation, this closure is necessary to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff.
We understand the inconvenience this may cause for families, especially following recent weather-related closures. Please know this decision was made in close coordination with local officials and out of an abundance of caution.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and communicate updates regarding school operations as more information becomes available.
