Overton County has an excellent school system that strives to meet the individual needs of all students. Local, state, and national goals are a major focus of the day-to-day operation of the system. The mission of Overton County Schools (Board of Education, Director of Schools, administrators, and teachers) in partnership with the citizens of Overton County, is to produce young men and women who will leave our system with the ability to think clearly, use good judgment in all areas of life, be competent in basic skills, be prepared to learn throughout the rest of their lives, and who possess the ability to do well in whatever endeavor they may choose.
